Over the years, Columbine Knolls Recreation District has developed an excellent tennis program that includes youth and adult instruction as well as tournament play. In an effort to provide the highest quality tennis programming for the residents of Columbine Knolls Recreation District and Foothills Park and Recreation District, a partnership has been achieved. Columbine Knolls will be programming, scheduling and reserving all courts in the Foothills District and the Columbine Knolls District for all match play and lesson programs.
Reservations are accepted year round. To Reserve a court call the CKRD office at (303) 979-5120 or stop by in person at 6191 W. Plymouth Drive. Court reservation slips can be issued to individuals who have reserved a court. There is no charge to reserve any of the public courts. You must have a key membership to reserve any of the private courts. Anyone with a reservation slip will have priority to be on the court for their reserved time. If you have not reserved a court, you will run the risk of losing your court to someone who has made a reservation. Please note that the reservation system will adhere to a priority basis for structured programs such as lessons, league practice, league play and clinics taking priority over recreational play. Without these structured programs, there would be no financial support to build and maintain courts for the public to use!
Private Courts (Locked – Requires annual key membership of $60.00). You do not have to be a resident of CKRD to be a key member.

Micro Tennis Micro tennis is a special entry tennis program for children ages 7 to 12. It is perfect for children not ready for traditional tennis match play but still want to be on a tennis team and have a competitive experience. Certified teaching professionals and parent coaches will be working together to have kids playing adjusted tennis matches in a Micro Tennis League in as few as two weeks. This program is a “spin-off” of soccer teams with parent coaches. Any parent can be the coach of their child’s team of 6-8 players. Ability to toss a ball underhand, and communicate effectively with and understand young children is what is needed to be a great coach! Unlike most sports, the coaches of Micro Tennis will have professional help on site for each practice and match. Fee: $100.00 per child if paid by May 26th. After May 26th $125.00
Location: Clement Park (6 practices & 6 Matches)
CARA TENNIS & JUNIOR TENNIS TEAM CKRD’s Junior Team Tennis is great fun! The programs are for children from ages 10-18 who qualify as intermediate or advanced players. Children are grouped according to age and ability. Beginning players who are ages 10 or older may be leery when they hear the word “team” however, children learn quickly in this program. They are all given the skills needed in a group lesson situation. The best part of playing on a team is the added instruction and the availability of playing partners. We try to combine learning with fun! CTA (Colorado Tennis Association)
FEES: $165.00 if registered before May 11th. Registered after May 11th - $185.00.

CARA (Colorado Association of Recreation Athletics) Participants will play matches against opponents at similar age levels.
